“The future does not equal the Past”
This is a great affirmation and can be very liberating. How often do we feel that if something has not worked in the past it will continue to be the same in the future. And deep down we know this not to be true as there is so much contrary evidence if only we are open to it. Again it is back to one of my previous bloggs, about where you focus your attention. Begin to change the focus of your attention and ask different questions such as “How could this work”. It is then that suddenly things can begin to work or change You can see how often this applies to the phone in business generally and especially in telesales campaigns. When I have carried out modelling exercises on high achievers on the phone. I have notice that they have the philosophy that “what has happened has happened, now move on”, or “put the rejection call behind you”. As soon as they do that they move with gusto and enthusiam into the next call and guess what they get brilliant results!
