Even in “The Queen”, the phone plays a major role
If you have not seen Helen Mirren in the film “The Queen”, I will not spoil it for you but just to emphasise the importance of the phone in the dialogues between The Queen and Tony Blair. Thoughout the story they both had todeliver important news or discuss difficult current issues. You could see in both cases both of them checking their “state” before taking the call; you could see Tony sit upright and take some deep breaths. The Queen likewise would remain standing as well as taking a deep breath before taking the call from Tony Blair. Again it reminded me even at that level, how important it is to be in the right state to be able to deliver your message with impact. Do you check your state before making important calls? Remember your state will influence how you sound and thus affect the impact of your call. Remember my motto in the sales environment, “feel sound cash”! ie How you feel will affect how you in sound which in turn will affect how much money you make
